There was plenty to celebrate at CATS Cambridge today as our GCSE students opened their results and looked ahead to the opportunities waiting for them.
GCSEs are an important first step in a student’s academic journey. Over the course of the programme, our students have adapted to new challenges, explored a broad range of subjects, and become more confident, independent learners. Today’s results recognise how far they have come.
“We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our GCSE students. These results reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also the confidence and independence they have developed throughout their time at CATS Cambridge. Their success has been supported by the encouragement and expertise of our teachers and the wider school community.
“Today marks an exciting milestone for our students. We congratulate each of them and look forward to seeing them build on this strong foundation as they take the next step in their education.”
— Kim Terrar, Headteacher
Celebrating the Class of 2026
The Class of 2026 studied a varied curriculum spanning the sciences, mathematics, languages, humanities and creative subjects. This breadth has allowed students to discover new interests, strengthen their academic skills and begin shaping the direction of their future studies.
This year’s highlights include:
Behind every grade is an individual story of progress. Students at CATS Cambridge come from across the UK and around the world, bringing different educational experiences, perspectives and strengths to the classroom. For some, that progress may also include developing their English, adapting to a new education system or settling into life away from home. Together, they learn and grow within an international community, building the confidence and independence to take their next steps.
Growing in Confidence and Independence
Academic achievement is only one part of the GCSE experience at CATS Cambridge. Students learn in small classes where subject-specialist teachers can recognise their potential, understand where they need support and encourage them to make meaningful progress.
For international students, learning takes place alongside the experience of living and studying in a new country. English-language support helps students communicate with greater confidence, while boarding, pastoral care and activities beyond the classroom help them form friendships and become active members of the school community.
The result is a high-quality secondary education shaped around the individual: one that develops knowledge, curiosity and the study habits students will need for A Levels and University Foundation Programme.
Looking to the Future
At CATS Cambridge, we encourage students to pursue knowledge with enthusiasm, think creatively and take responsibility for the choices they make. These qualities wisdom, innovation and responsibility will continue to guide the Class of 2026 as they take their next steps.
Congratulations to every student receiving their GCSE results today. We look forward to seeing you build on this achievement and realise your aspirations.
